Family Tree

This started with an idea: bringing several family trees together in one digital place.

Using different AI tools, I've been working on a way to combine family trees from different branches of the family into a single tool that's easy for relatives to explore.

But a family tree is about more than names and dates. In an old paper family tree, you might find someone's name, their birth and death dates, and perhaps a few additional details. You rarely get to know the person behind the name.

The next step is to digitise old family photo albums and connect scanned photographs to the people in the family tree, using facial recognition to help identify relatives.

I'd also like to record video interviews with the oldest members of the family, preserving their memories, anecdotes and stories before they are lost.

The idea is to keep developing this project as the family grows, creating a place where relatives can discover how they're connected and learn more about the people who came before them.
